Miss Dee's Tools Site
At this site, you can find out about your doe by checking out the pedigree
search, where you can insert the information about your doe's dam or sire
that it asks for, and it will show you the extended pedigree, whether the
doe has milk records, appraisal results, etc.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
American Dairy Goat Association
This is the association that all american dairy goats are registered or recorded
through. Here you can find forms for registering your animal, for becoming
an adga member, scorecards, herd names, parts of your animal, and many national
dairy goat events.
Humboldt Dairy Goat Club
This site is our local dairy goat club in Humboldt County. They put on a local show which with 4 rings and separate sanctions for Jr. Does, Sr. Does and Bucks, The show has Showmanship classes both days and is supported by our local breeders it is a great place to meet breeders and check out their goats.
Redwood
Empire Dairy Goat Association
This site is a dairy goat club in Mendocino County. They have a list of all
the shows in California, mainly more northern ones, and links to most breeders
websites, where you can
find out about their herd or contact breeders about purchasing animals or
replacement does.
BREEDERS
RDR Farm
They are located in Ferndale, CA. They breed Nubian and LaMancha dairy goat,
along with a variety of other species. In 2006 the Reserve Champion was a
LaMancha bred by RDR Farm, in 2005 the Grand Champion was a LaMancha bred by
them, In 2004 the Grand Champion doe was a Nubian by their buck, and in 2003
the Grand Champion was a Nubian doe bred by them.
Shevett's Dairy Goats
Sarah Shevett is located in Ferndale, CA. She breeds Alpines, LaManchas, and
Recorded Grade does. She has been extremely involved in every year of the
project, and consistently sells quality does to youth in the project.
Wingwood Farm
Karen Smith and her family are the breeders of Wingwood Farm Nubians. These
are top quality does, and there have been several sold into the project. In
2002 the Grand Champion doe was bred by them, as in 2003 the Reserve
Champion was bred by Wingwood Farm.
Fern*View
Amy Fairbanks & Family own a small group of quality Toggenburgs and
Oberhaslis. They have sold several Oberhasli doelings into the sale, whom
always place exceptionally well.
Becca's LaMancha's
The Suenram family has sold several does into the project in past years, and
will also have several available for the upcoming project year. To find out
